Post by Sayama on Jul 27, 2022 21:49:11 GMT -5
The last thing Sayama expected to be doing with his day was making an unplanned visit to Planet Earth. It was probably the last thing he wanted to do with his day, to visit such a wretched planet, but after being beat within an inch of his life and shoved into a rinky-dink space pod, he didn't exactly have much of a choice. Bruised, battered, and defeated, Sayama spent most of his travel time trying to get as comfortable as he could within the confines of the impractical space vessel. Even without his injuries, that may have been an impossible task. Fortunately, between blood loss and some slight brain damage, fading out of consciousness was a lot easier than ever before.
Unfortunately, the times he managed to maintain lucidity were not of his own choosing. Ideally, he would have been knocked out during entry into the Earth's atmosphere and his imminent 'landing,' but one thing was certain after everything he'd experienced today: nothing ever went ideally.
Sayama had finally managed to find a spot that didn't cause his pain receptors to scream out in pain at the slightest of turbulence just minutes before his pod entered the Earth's atmosphere. Fire surrounded the ship as it burst through clouds and zipped across the skies at breakneck speeds, shaking and rattling wildly at even the most miniscule gusts of wind and shifts in pressure. The worst was yet to come, as the pod blasted through the top of a mountain and disrupted his gyroscope. Suddenly, what was already the most unlikely space craft became a plummeting carnival ride of death. It twirled and rolled through the air, sending its sole passenger every which way.
Somehow, there was still another obstacle ahead. Not dying on impact. The mountain helped slow his descent, but without any controls, the pod was only going to stop when it collided with something much more firm than the top of a rock formation. Sayama reached for the various buttons on the console, hoping to regain control of the situation, but the sporadic movements of his pod made any precise movement impossible. As he fought against gravity and momentum, there seemed to be a brief moment of calm within the calamity. The spinning slowed, the forward pressure halted, and all of a sudden- KPLOOFFFSHHHHHHH!
Take every punch, kick, pinch, slap, stab, and whatever other attacking adjective he's ever been hit with. Combine it. Then double it. That was how it felt for Sayama to crash land in his current condition. Thanks to the miracle of Saiyan engineering, the space pod somehow managed to hold its chassis together, protecting its pilot from becoming a bloodstain in the middle of the jungle. Though, that may have been a better alternative to the walking pile of agony and dread. Well, walking may have been generous.
For a few minutes, Sayama laid practically lifeless in the cockpit of his space pod. If somebody would have found him at that moment, the only telltale sign of life would have been his chest elevating and compressing with his breathing, because his bloody figure definitely looked like something out of a fatal car accident. The only sounds in his ears were the rushing of blood to his head, the faint beat of his heart, and the hissing of steam radiating off the remnants of his ship. It took every ounce of willpower in his little hybrid heart to open the door to the outside.
More hissing sounded and a blinding light shone into the poorly lit pod, causing even more strain on Sayama. Then, as a nice little cherry on top, the sticky air of the tropics seeped in. Blinded, humid, and knocking on death's doorstep. All in a day's work. Moving slower than he'd ever moved before - minutes at a time - Sayama pulled himself up and out of his pod. First, out of the crumpled heap he'd become, then over the seat, next onto his feet, and finally, out the door and into uncharted territory.
It took just about everything he had left to even make it that far, because once he had half his body out of his pod, his arms gave out beneath him and he flopped onto the charred moss-covered dirt. To nobody, but for his own amusement, Sayama weakly groaned to himself, "Honey, I'm home- ack!" He winced in pain from even just talking, which was detrimental to Sayama, and when he tried to reach up to his jaw to massage it, his arm flared up in pain, too, "-oooh-kay, ouch, talking hurts, owie, everything hurts, got it," He rolled over onto his back, agonized over his currently miserable existence, and stared up at the clear blue skies and the tops of palm trees. If he didn't have something important to do, maybe dying here wouldn't have been so bad.
Just like that, Sayama had arrived at his destination: Planet Earth! Now he just needed to recuperate enough to go out and complete his mission, but in his current state, he wasn't going to be moving more than a few feet any time soon.

A ship flew into the Tropical Islands at a fast, but steady pace. Inside was Quash and Jorey, making another trip. Since their fight with Liari, they've been training nonstop for a while. Quash remained in his ship to use the Gravitron, but Jorey's been in and out for a while. He didn't know what exactly he was up to, but he didn't bother him too much. After all, it wasn't really his business. They had gotten a lot stronger since their last fight, but they still had a long way to go until they could even match her strength with their combined might, let alone separately. Until then, they would switch locations every now and then. He had no idea if Liari was actively looking for them, but if she was, he wasn't going to make it easy for her.
Quash hated the idea of running away. He had never actively tried to avoid an enemy before. However, he knew that he had to acknowledge just how far ahead she was ahead of him. Her power still haunted him as he, even now, was struggling to comprehend just how one person could have that much power inside of them. Then again, it wasn't all her power through. Some of it belonged to her victims, like Callion. Poor guy, he never stood a chance. If there was anything Quash hated more, it was having power that wasn't his. He promised himself that he'd show Liari where true strength came from.
"Huh?"
As Quash continued to look through the window from the pilot seat he was in, something caught his eye. It looked like a saiyan pod! Straight from Planet Vegeta! It flew straight passed them into one of the islands below. The Captain could feel a weaker energy signature from the object he saw as it went by them. There was definitely somebody in there. He got so curious that he had to take a closer look. If this was another saiyan, it could be a golden opportunity to add another ally to the group. After all, this ship did fit three people.
Quash turned back to look to wherever Jorey was.
"Uh, this time we're not faced with overwhelming power, so if you don't mind..."
He changed the direction of the ship so he'd now be headed toward where the ship landed. Eventually, Quash's ship landed on the same island that the pod crashed into. Once it landed, Quash pushed the button on the controls in front of him to open the door. He stood up and stretched, heading outside.
"Well, let's check this out, shall we? Who knows, it could be a friend!" He told Jorey as he went to exit the ship and take flight. He followed the energy he was sensing, which was pretty weak now. Whoever was in that pod was in pretty bad shape.
Approaching the pod, he could already see someone on his back from where he was. Cautiously floating towards them, his eyes widened. It was just as he predicted! It was a saiyan, with Saiyan Armor from the military no less! While Quash had a preference for saiyans who came from Earth or those who had defected, at this point he could take whoever he could get. Besides, he maybe is a soldier who defected after all.
Now landing next to him, Quash knelt down beside him to get a closer look at his injuries. To be honest, he was surprised he was still breathing. Especially after that landing. As he waited for Jorey to arrive, Quash decided to get this newcomer talking to distract him from the pain he was in.
"Uh, hey pal. Name and rank?"

JoreyPL: 88,775 (Current at 22,192)Super Heavy Weights in useCurrent Location: Tropical Islands of the Southern ContinentCurrent Timeframe: Daytime Traveling inside a ship as of late seemed counterintuitive to the young Jorey for some reason. While it was nice to be able to have a gravity training chamber within a ship at any point in time and use it whenever you wanted, it seemed counterintuitive to even try traveling in the ship when you were faster than it on your own. He knew that Quash was the same, even though Jorey could tell that he'd caught up to the Saiyan and maybe even surpassed him in strength. There was no way Quash wasn't fast enough to out fly and maybe even outrun his own ship. Again, the convenience of the gravity chamber was nice, but overall, they could just travel by flying instead. Why was Jorey on the ship with Quash, you may ask? The answer is simple: it's because of Quash's gravity chamber. Don't get the Saiyan wrong; he has no idea why they don't travel around on foot or flying by themselves. It makes themselves less of a visible target and it would be a lot quicker. However, if the Saiyan is presented with an opportunity to train in the gravity chamber, then he will use it. There isn't a snowball's chance in hell that he wouldn't take advantage of that situation, and Quash just so happened to constantly be providing Jorey with that opportunity. It was a win-win; he would get stronger using Quash's gravity chamber, and Quash would get better training with Jorey than by himself in this gravity chamber. The results were paying off, and the Saiyan was more than proud of his progress. However, he knew there was more to be had. Liari was much stronger than they were right now. If they were really going to match up to that confused menace, then they'd have to get even stronger than they were now. They would have to ascend and break through boundaries. They'd have to become...Super Saiyans. Maybe. Becoming a Super Saiyan was something Jorey had been thinking about on the down low lately. With his strength now, he knew it wasn't possible. However, he felt like he was getting closer and closer to breaking through a barrier. Not too long ago, he felt like he definitely did break through a barrier, but didn't notice any changes in his physique or power, other than the notable difference from beforehand to now. Getting his ass beat by Liari really did pay off. At the current moment, Quash and Jorey were traveling together through the southern islands. This was the place that Jorey had made his home, and Quash found him here a lot earlier. The Captain offered Jorey a spot to train at since he was in the area, and Jorey accepted. It was better than destroying the islands that he called home, for the time being. However, Jorey still wanted to do some of that underwater training he'd been thinking about. Just think about it: training underwater with the heavy resistance and pressure of the ocean, along with the restricted strength and speed of wearing super heavy weighted clothing. It sounded like paradise to the lone wolf. Instead, he was traveling at a pretty mediocre speed in the sky. Jorey was training a bit earlier using Quash's gravity chamber while they were flying around, but training solo in the gravity chamber, you could only do so much. Now, he was simply meditating, sitting on his tail like he usually does with his eyes closed. What Quash was doing or looking for, he wasn't sure. It seemed like they were flying around aimlessly, but knowing Quash, it probably had to do with finding Athren. Jorey felt like the Captain was wasting his time. At this point, it was clear that he wasn't on this planet anymore. Speaking of being on this planet, Jorey suddenly felt a random power level enter from the exosphere. It was very faint and distant, and it even felt like it was in distress. Hell, it felt very weak; not weak in the sense that it's pathetic and not worth dealing with, but weak in the sense that it's dying. What the hell is that about? Jorey's eyes snapped open, and he looked up and towards the sky, knowing damn well there was a ceiling blocking his view. He started to trace the power level as it rocketed through the atmosphere. "Something just entered the atmosphere, Quash."
Jorey immediately got off his tail and walked to the cockpit where Quash was, putting one hand on the headrest of the seat and leaning over a bit to look through the window. That was when the pod sped right past the two of them, Jorey following the pod as it shot through the air. He couldn't make it out all that well, but he could have sword it was a Saiyan pod. It was moving pretty quickly, and he wasn't paying attention to the finer details, but he was almost sure it was Saiyan. "Shit, I hope it's not crashing into the island I'm living on."
Quash turned around, addressing Jorey and the situation they had at hand. It was strikingly similar to the situation they found themselves in with Liari. This time, it was indeed not an absurdly powerful energy signature. That was a relief at the very least. Still, it wasn't like Quash was going to back down from this, even if somehow it was an energy signature that was even more powerful than Liari's. Jorey simply sighed and turned around, walking to the door once more. "Do what you want. Tryna convince you otherwise is like tryna talk to a brick wall, anyway."
As soon as the doors opened, Jorey exited the ship and floated up into the air, trying to get a look at where the pod landed. Fortunately enough, the pod didn't crash into the island Jorey was inhabiting. The Saiyan sighed in relief and relaxed a little bit. "Oh, thank Space Christ. Not my island."
He then turned around to see Quash, listening in on what he was talking about. A "friend" was something Jorey still wasn't quite used to. He still didn't even consider Quash a friend after everything they've been through. Hell, it was also somewhat Quash's fault for them getting their ass beat by Liari. He's still surprised that Saiyan was able to survive an ass beating that bad. If he remembered correctly, the lone wolf could still see the Captain's leg bone sticking out of his skin. "I wouldn't call 'em a 'friend,' but if you wanna jump to those kinds of conclusions, go ahead. After what happened last time we tried to investigate something, I'm staying on my toes."
The two Saiyans would then take off and head straight towards the pod. The power level of whoever was in that pod seemed like it was getting weaker and weaker by the minute. Whoever it was, they were dying. What the hell could have happened to them to put them in that state? Is Earth under attack all of a sudden? When they finally arrived to the pod landing, Jorey wasn't sure what he was looking at anymore. If anything, he was actually surprised by what his eyes fell upon. It was another Saiyan, coming from another Saiyan pod, but their body was in tatters. Well, nowhere as bad as what Quash went through with Liari, but it was clear they weren't going to last very long. The lone wolf didn't want to waste anymore time, knowing for sure it was another Saiyan. He shot straight over towards the fallen soldier to examine the wounds closer. The Saiyan was beaten up pretty badly, and was bleeding a lot too. Jorey wasn't sure how much longer this guy had to live. From what he could see, this Saiyan wasn't going to be walking on his own soon either. However, something else stood out from the Saiyan as he was examining the wounds. It wasn't just the wounds that stood out to Jorey, it was his energy. Jorey had met others like him before in the past. He'd been meeting quite a few lately, too, that it was even more surprising than seeing a space pod falling from the sky. "How many hybrids am I gonna come across lately? This guy isn't just Saiyan; I can feel it in his energy."
Jorey squinted his eyes, as if he was trying to look even closer at the hybrid dying on the ground. He was trying to make out what that energy felt like. It was very familiar, as if he was surrounded by those people every single day. That's when he made a connection, but the connection only made him want to ask even more questions. "Quash, I think this guy is Saiyan and Earthling, but how the hell does that make any sense? How many Earthlings exist outside of Earth? 'Cuz I haven't met a single one. If anything he shoulda been born on this planet, or even lived here. That's the only thing that would make sense to me. How the hell did this guy come from space, and from Vegeta, no less?"
Jorey was just about to lose respect in Quash with the question he'd asked the fallen soldier. Out of all the things he could have asked, he asked for the name and rank of the guy right here, right now. The lone wolf was dense, sure he'd admit that, but he knew that this man was in more than enough pain as it is. He shouldn't be having to answer questions right now. "Really? At least ask him if he's all right, if anything. Ah, fuck it, whatever."
Jorey put his hands below the soldier, delicately and carefully. He didn't want to move him in a way that would make him feel even more pain or even more uncomfortable. What he needed was medical attention, and he needed it quick. Once Jorey got his hands below the hybrid and had a good grip, he would slowly lift him up into his arms to carry him. "You don't gotta answer him right now. Save your breath. We'll take you somewhere safe, and then we can talk."
Jorey would turn to Quash, motioning for his ship. "You got a healing chamber in there, right?"

Post by Sayama on Aug 5, 2022 17:52:39 GMT -5
Even half-dead on the dirt, Sayama's analytical mind noticed a million little differences between Earth and Vegeta. The birds chirping, hopping around from branch to branch just enjoying their insignificant lives. Various creatures ruffling through leaves high up in the trees. Heck, Sayama might've even seen one of his cousins crawling around at the top of the canopy, jumping from branch to branch in search of food.
Every single detail in the world became a point of emphasis for the hybrid. Its weather, its fauna, its flora, even the scents in the air and the position of the sun in the sky. Each piece of information his brain was able to process could have been useful, especially when it came to finding a way off the alien world and back home to Vegeta.
None of that mattered if he didn't survive, though, and the way things were looking, Sayama's survival was not assured. Getting pummeled before being tossed in a faulty space pod led to numerous broken bones, unregulated internal bleeding, and countless bruises and scratches all over. That didn't even consider the injuries he'd gotten from the crash landing. Honestly, it was a miracle Sayama had even made it to Earth, let alone to the surface. Resilient was something Sayama had gotten used to being throughout his life as a halfling on Vegeta. It'd gotten him this far, so he planned on letting it get him further.
His moment of agonizing serenity in the tropics was interrupted by the presence of two people. From the bottom of his peripheral vision, Sayama noticed two figures dropping down from above. Well, dropping may not have been the right word. Floating described their arrival a lot better.
As they neared, Sayama quickly discerned one major detail about them both. Their tails. Humans did not possess the extra appendage, as he was well aware, which meant these two were some of his own kin. Saiyans. Two of Vegeta's own had arrived to welcome the hybrid to the planet. He should have been glad. If his entrance was intercepted by humans, who knew what could have happened? Chances were, he'd get locked up and interrogated by their higher governmental powers, 'Who are you? Why are you here?' That type of business. Instead, he was greeted by two of his own! Two full-fledged, battle thirsty, vicious warriors.
This wasn't gonna go over well. His own experience back home had shown him, time and time again, full-bloods are typically not exactly fond of half-bloods. Sayama's mixed blood automatically put him lower on the social ladder than everybody around him, even in cases where he had the advantage in power - which wasn't often. Chances were, showing up in his current state, these two were going to exhibit more of the same.
Still, he tried to maintain his usual demeanor and personality, even on the brink of death. As the two Saiyans got closer, with both landing on either side of him to check on his injuries, Sayama jokingly introduced, "I come in peace. Not here for world domination today," With the pain that ran through his body when he spoke, the words that escaped his lips definitely came out as more of a mumbled whisper than his usual confident tone.
Out of the two Saiyans, neither one seemed to have any superiority over the other. Sayama couldn't sense energy levels, and with a surprise trip to Earth, he didn't get a chance to pack his scouter along for the ride, either. One of the men made note of Sayama's hybrid status, and how it was odd that he'd come from Vegeta despite being half Earthling. More importantly, Sayama fixated on the name the first guy called the other guy. Somehow, by some stroke of luck, the very person Sayama had been sent to find had fallen right into his lap- "Name and rank?"
No care about his health. No 'Hi! Welcome to Earth!' Just straight to the point. Oh yeah, this guy was definitely a captain in the Saiyan military. Fortunately, the other guy had more of a heart, as odd and unlikely as it was. He seemed to have some knowledge of medical protocols, or at least he did a good job acting like it, by immediately doing his best to comfort Sayama and get him to a healing chamber.
The hybrid ached and groaned as the pressure of Jorey lifting him up pressed on his tattered armor and, by extension, his already frazzled nerve endings. His last encounter with full-blooded Saiyans was the whole reason for his physical state and his location, so having one tend to him definitely took him by surprise, especially since it wasn't a member of his squad. Needless to say, it was a nice change of pace.
Even still, he didn't have time to sit around in a healing chamber waiting to power back up. He needed to get to work. Sayama managed to push himself out of Jorey's arms, landing on two shaky feet as he tried to stand up straight. The pain that ran throughout his body was almost too much to bear, so instead he had a little bit of a hunch and clutched at his side while he sized up the two Saiyans, mostly focused on Quash. First, he thanked Jorey, forcing out the words as clearly as he could, "'Preciate it, lackey," Then he addressed his primary - and only - target, "Captain Quash. I am Corporal Sayama of the Mame Squadron, and I..." He held up his free hand to point at the captain, where he concluded, "...have been sent here to kill you,"
As Sayama did his best to make his mission statement clear, he fell forward, face first, into the mud again. Face down on the ground, with a mouth full of mud, Sayama gurgled out a pained, "Ouch,"

"No idea, but we'll get to that."
Quash raised an eyebrow when Jorey came to the conclusion that this individual was a hybrid of some sort. His loner friend was right, it was a rarity to see a hybrid on Vegeta. Then again, the USD was still present on the planet as far as he knew, and there were plenty of humans among them. Maybe some of the soldiers were uh... "getting busy"? It was pretty uncommon, but he supposed that it wasn't impossible.
It looked like Quash's initial question wasn't received well by his partner, who didn't seem to understand why he was talking about something totally irrelevant to the situation at hand. He rolled his eyes as he stood up to get out of the way as Jorey went in to pick him up.
"Oh, please. "Are you alright, "man who can barely stand?". At least I'm getting new information." Quash said in his defense. It sounded like a stupid, almost disrespectfully stupid, question, so he didn't ask. He definitely didn't wanna move him either, since he didn't know what exactly was or wasn't broken and they might be risking further injury by doing so, but it was too late for that. It looked like he still had a long way to go before anyone was willing to trust him to that degree. Well, so much for that I suppose. He thought.
When Jorey asked him whether or not he healing chamber, Quash looked at him with a puzzled look. "You know, when Liari broke my leg in two places, I just wanted to sit there in pain while I recovered for the giggles. I just thought it'd be fun, you know?"
There was a short pause before he continued.
"No. No, I don't."
Quash wished he had a healing chamber. It would be a lot more convenient to be back in tip-top shape in no time after a big fight. Unfortunately, he didn't really have access to those kinds of resources at the moment. Pretty much all of his cash was going towards upgrading his Gravitron.
The stranger revealed themselves as Corporal Sayama, who was... sent here to kill him?
To be honest, it was hard to take this alleged assassin seriously with how weak he was. Did Planet Vegeta find out about Quash's true intentions? If they did, why the hell would send someone like him to take down a Captain? Did they really think so low of him? Sure, this whole thing was a little alarming, but the fact that they thought Quash could be taken out so easily was kind of mean. As Sayama lay in the mud, Quash crouched down to roll him over so that the Corporal would at least be able to breathe.
Quash looked up at Jorey, slightly irritated.
"This is why I didn't wanna try and move him yet."
Looking back at Sayama, he figured that the whole "getting him help" thing was kind of out the window for a moment. He already had an angry majin out to get him, the last thing he needed was to be distracted with side quests when his final confrontation could arrive any day now.
"Well, Sayama. That was quite the plot twist there. I got to say, I don't know why you didn't wait until AFTER you were already in fighting shape to disclose that information though. I guess that's why you're still a Corporal though, no offense. So, here's what we're going to do. You're going to tell me exactly why you were tasked with killing me, and f there are any others on their way as well. And then you also have to explain why I should help you."

Post by Jorey on Aug 13, 2022 12:54:14 GMT -5
The situation that Jorey and Quash had observed was bizarre and unusual. It's not every day you see Saiyans raining down from the sky. This would be Jorey's kind of rain, if only they were much stronger and raring to go in a fight or some training. That would have been even more ideal. The state this guy was in wasn't in any case a safe one. It was necessary to get the guy medical attention as quickly as possible, unless they wanted to have him killed from all these injuries. This guy could also serve as a great source of information, seeing as he came from Vegeta all the way to Earth. The lone wolf had to admit, he was curious about what was going on outside Earth in the time that he got here. He lost his scouter, so getting any information from the outside world with whatever sources he had was now a lot harder to do. He'd also been so concerned with Liari and getting stronger to face up against her that he wasn't even thinking about what could be happening outside in the world. Now, it could be possible to know if there were any major changes. Quash's response didn't resonate well with Jorey. The Saiyan looked at his comrade in arms behind him and gave him the blankest stare ever. With the most monotone voice, as well, he gave his response to Quash. "Yeah, tryna get new information from the guy who clearly looks like he's in too much pain to breathe. Your genius scares me sometimes, Quash. Damn, no wonder Liari doesn't like you."
Fortunately, before Jorey even said that, the crippled Saiyan let out a pretty sarcastic introduction, saying that he came in peace. The lone wolf looked down at the hybrid and remarked at his ability to still joke around in this situation. "Well, at least he still has a sense of humor."
Jorey would proceed to try and pick the hybrid up. He was still behind the idea of getting him medical attention as soon as possible. Looking to Quash, he proceeded with asking the question he had from beforehand. Of course, Quash was going to be sarcastic with Jorey in this dire situation, and it wasn't even a valid or good type of sarcasm. If anything, he felt like he was trying too hard to be funny or quirky. In the short pause Quash took in between his sarcastic remarks, the lone wolf simply lifted one eyebrow and stared at the strangely acting Captain. He once again clarified that there wasn't a healing chamber on the ship. "I'm starting to see why you don't have many friends."
At this point in time, Jorey had the hybrid in his arms. It was about time to get him to the nearest hospital so that he could get healed. Earth's healing technology isn't nearly as advanced as the rest of space's. This man may be in the hospital for weeks, at best, most likely months in total. It wasn't going to be an efficient process, or even a favorable one, but it was what this guy needed. Maybe they'd be able to get information about the outside world while he's recovering. In the healing chamber, this hybrid wouldn't be able to speak with them at all while they wait for him to heal. Well, it didn't matter, as long as he didn't die on them right here right now. However, that would end up not happening in the first place. The hybrid was struggling in Jorey's arms, which only served to irritate the mercenary that was trying to help him. "Hey, stop struggling, kid! You tryna get more hurt!?"
Without much effort to hold him down from Jorey, the hybrid was able to get himself free and get to the floor. His body was very tattered, so the pureblood was impressed that the was still able to stand, even if it was just barely. Jorey let his arms drop to his sides and glared daggers at the already dying young man in front of him. His tenacity and determination was admirable, but his hot head was going to get him killed by his injuries. Jorey crossed his arms and listened on to the injured Saiyan-Earthling. That's when the hybrid gave a full introduction this time, and called Jorey a lackey, which pissed him off to say the least. Lackey!? The hell did you just call me!?
This hybrid came from Vegeta, he was a Corporal in the Saiyan Army, and this Sayama character was here...to kill Quash. The situation was almost laughable, especially the fact that Sayama lost his strength and fell to the ground afterwards. In fact, it wasn't almost laughable; it was purely comedic. Jorey couldn't hold himself back anymore. He was now bellowing a hearty laugh that he hadn't been able to let out in a long time. He could have sworn that this guy was trying to tell a joke. There was no way this guy was serious. With the condition Sayama was in, and how low his power level was compared to Quash's and Jorey's full power, it would be impossible for this man to match up to them. Unless Sayama was able to transform into an Oozaru, but even if he was able to transform, so was Quash and Jorey. Either way, Sayama was not going to beat either one of them anytime soon. This situation was so amusing, Jorey put his tail under him and sat on it, coiling it on the floor to support his weight. He then crossed his legs, and rested his head on one of his hands propped up against his legs. The other hand he let rest on his knee. This was going to be a treat to say the least. The smile on Jorey's face never faded after he laughed, and he watched as Quash went down to turn Sayama over so he wouldn't suffocate in the mud. Really? This was why he didn't want to move him? Jorey responded quickly, pointing a finger at Quash and laughing in between breaths. "Oh, ho ho, nah! Some guy shows up, dying inside a pod, who's clearly weaker than you, and you don't think about telling him he's gonna be all good and you're gonna bring him to safety? Hell, I wouldn't have done that shit a few months ago, but the first thing I'd ask him wouldn't be 'uhh, name a rank, my boy.' Besides, how would you have known he was here to try and kill you? I didn't know you had enemies like that, Quash. What the hell did you do before getting here? Ha, ha!"
Quash would proceed to interrogate the poor Sayama. At this point, Jorey would let the Captain take care of the mutiny on his ship. As strange as it was that Sayama disclosed the information that he had let out before healing up, the pureblood had some theories as to why he did it. First off, it could be as Quash said, that he was just a Corporal and wasn't experienced in these kinds of things, yet. The second, and the one that Jorey was believing the most, was that it was his pride that didn't let him hide that fact. He was a Saiyan, after all. It may have hurt his pride for him to try and heal up first and then state his intentions, or just try and deceive them for a while and then try and assassinate Quash unawares. However, it was still a bad play on his part. Now, he could be seen as a target instead of an ally. Whatever Quash wanted to do with the guy was up to him, Jorey wasn't concerned about him anymore now that he knew his objective. As much as he was apathetic towards Quash, he needed him for the time being. It was better to keep him alive. Word Count: 1,328

For as strong as these two must've been, their relationship was rocky at best. Neither one seemed to be able to agree on anything, which told Sayama this other guy was not part of Quash's original squad, or he couldn't manage a crew very well if he was. There was a little bit of strife between the Earth-bound Saiyans. That said, he wasn't really in a position to say much. His entire squad got dismantled and shipped out across the galaxy in one night, which ultimately found him here. In the dirt. On Earth.
While Jorey laughed and mocked the situation as a whole, Quash did his best to be as condescending and unbearable as possible. Maybe he should just find a way to kill this guy so he could get back to his real quest on Vegeta. Surely Earth had some powerful poison or something. Sayama weakly groaned in frustration as he was interrogated, waiting for the captain to finish talking so he could put his two cents in.
Once Quash said everything he needed, Sayama waited a few seconds before asking, "You done?" He winced as he pulled himself backward until he bumped into his pod's carcass, which he used as a back rest to help him sit up, "Y'know, if I hadn't just plummeted from orbit and suffered what may be the worst injuries of my entire life, I might've been able to finish what I was saying,"
He tried to talk with his hands - he was a hand talker, he couldn't help it - but his body ached with every single movement. Even still, he continued, "Look, I never said I wanted to kill you - though if I wanted to, I could probably find a way," He nodded towards a rosary pea bush Jorey was sitting in front of, "A seed from one of those things'll do it. May not even need that much; jequirity beans pack a mean punch. Point is: don't accept any drinks from me for a while." Sayama pinched the bridge of his nose as he tried to get back on topic, "Sorry, getting side tracked. Maybe a little lightheaded. Might have a punctured lung- I'm slowly dying... Where was I?"
Sayama started to space off, but then he suddenly remembered, "Oh! Right! Killing you! Yeah, no, I was sent here to kill you. By our friends up above, the USD. They captured me and gave me an ultimatum: kill you or don't, which would in turn get my entire squad killed, me included," He leaned his head back and tried to catch his breath, as even talking was taking a lot out of him. Before too long he leaned forward again and continued, "I don't like being told what to do, so, I was gonna use my so-called target, you, to get back at them. Take the whole thing out, whoosh, just like that. Liberate the Saiyans before we're subjected to millennia of indentured servitude. They only sent me, nobody else. My squad got sent elsewhere, they didn't send anybody to watch over me, as far as I know, there isn't some kind of devious trick waiting for you in the bushes," He paused before clarifying, "Well, besides the peas. Just don't eat those and you'll be fine. It's just me, Sayama, here asking for your help,"
Following another brief pause, he looked over at Jorey and pointed weakly, "I'll take your little quartermaster, too. Gonna need all the help we can get," Sayama took a deep breath, much to his comfort's dismay, before throwing his hands up and finishing, "And that's the gambit! All I need from you now - for now, at least - is a recap of what you've been up to during your time on this shithole. Any enemies, any noteworthy events, any reason(s) the USD may want your head. Really, anything that can hinder us from going back home and kicking those assholes to the curb,"
It was a simple enough request, but Sayama knew these two weren't going to take his demands lightly. They were both Saiyans, for starters, so to have some weak, half-dead hybrid show up and start asking for something may hurt their pride a bit. Not to mention, they'd have to use their brains, something he'd seen a lot of his kin struggle to do. Secondly, he'd gotten a front row seat to their interactions so far. One had already laughed at him, so it was really only a matter of time before Captain Quash followed suit.

"Hey! I-I have friends! Well, kind of... Do the people I beat up count?" Quash replied, getting a bit defensive with that remark from Jorey. Despite what his partner said, the Captain thought his way was working. Sayama might've been injured already, but he had shown that he was still more than capable of providing information. He was a saiyan after all, it was expected that he'd still be able to fight through the pain. Especially when it came to soldiers within the Saiyan Military. It was in his blood whether he was a hybrid of not.
It was a little funny that Sayama had referred to Jorey as a lackey. Quash never really thought of Jorey as someone who was working under him, but now that he thought about it. It was his ship and his Gravitron. Besides, he was fairly certain who could take Jorey in a fight. Shit, maybe he SHOULD start calling himself the leader. Then again, something told him that his kind-of-pal wouldn't take too kindly be taking orders from him. Maybe he could warm him up to the possibility over time. Who knows. Anything was possible on this planet.
"ALRIGHT JOREY, I GET IT. FUCKIN' HELL." Quash was clearly getting a little neddled over the lone wolf laughing his ass off and going on his long-winded ramblings about how hilarious the whole situation was. To be fair, it was a little funny, but Quash could hardly get control over the situation with him relentlessly butting at every possible opportunity.
Once he was FINALLY able to keep quiet for a few moments, Sayama went to go into more detail about what happened with this whole "assassination" thing (and beans for some reason). The guy had a little attitude himself, which was annoying. It looked everyone had woken up on the wrong side of the bed today. Where the low ranks found the audacity to speak to the higher ranks like that, he'd never know. In any case, it turned out he wasn't ACTUALLY there to kill him. That was cool. And it looked like no one else had come with him as well, which was even cooler.
What WASN'T so cool was that the USD was trying to kill him! Quash could've sworn he kept his true intentions an absolute secret when he left and came to Earth. Had they figured out his identity when he attacked Orange City? If that was the case, how come Jorey was fine? Were they after Athren too?
Not only that, but apparently, they threatened to annihilate his squad too! This was very alarming, as while the USD were always an annoyance, he never would've thought that they would've gone that far. Did King Braccus know about this? If he did, why was letting it go on? For Quash, this was just another reason someone had to remove him from the throne. That incompetent fool was going to let everything burn to the ground at this rate.
After he finished, Quash sighed in frustration. With this Liari situation going on, he hadn't had time to do what he REALLY needed to do.
"Well, kind of... a lot is happening. For starters, Jorey and I were tricked into decimating one of Earth's cities by a saiyan who goes by the name of Athren. He's an ex-soldier straight from Vegeta. I don't know why he did it, but I was trying to look for him for answers and a little payback.
I believe he's somehow connected to some other malicious force acting on Earth at the moment. I think they're the Planet Trade Organization, as the Changelings are involved, but they might be something else... In any case, whoever they are, they managed to take over West City with the help of an immensely powerful being known as Liari. She has a wide array of abilities and power unlike anything I've ever seen. Jorey and I tried to take her on together, but it was no use. We were lucky to escape with our lives."
Quash appeared to look off into the distance as he took on a more serious expression, recalling their fight with her.
"Her power is not her own. She has a unique ability to absorb other people. I don't know the details of how she does it, but during her attack on West City she managed to absorb a saiyan monk that went by the name of Callion. He showed up to stop her, but he... couldn't do it. It was after she had her way with him, and at least one other person, that she obtained her monstrous power."
There was a little pause before he snapped himself back into reality.
"But uh, yeah. That's what we've been dealing with. Any question?"
